BML Individual Report
These were held on 28th January 2017 and we had 10 swimmers taking part. It was a fantastic effort by all with everyone coming away with either personal bests (PBs) or medals.
It was Jake Andrews’ first gala and he came away with 2 PBs, as did older brother Ryan Andrews who knocked nearly 10 seconds off his 50m freestyle.
Erin Napier earned a respectable 3 PBs in the 10 year old age group along with a third place from an outside heat on backstroke.
Will Slater also demonstrated his winning ability by smashing his backstroke PB to claim top spot, again from an outside heat – 4 PBs in total and another top spot in breaststroke made this a good day in the Slater household.
Alex Robinson showed that he is also making great progress with 2 PBs and 2 first places (fly and free).
Eve Horseman in her first gala for Rossington (and having been ill all week) showed her form with an impressive 3 PBs.
Our more experienced swimmers were not left behind with Kieran Westmoreland getting PBs in all three of his events plus a medal, Ellie Jackson getting 3 PBs and 2 medals and Josh Sellars adding to the list of BML champions by taking top spot in backstroke along with PBs and second places in free and fly.
All in all a winning day for our small but dedicated team of swimmers.
Thanks to the volunteers of the day – Sandra Eales and Jacob Greenhalgh for looking after the swimmers and to Jill Greenhalgh for announcing.
