Trophy Gala Results

As there was no Bridon Shield this year our neighbouring club Armthorpe organised a trophy gala event run on similar lines with four teams competing. For those of you who are not familiar with this gala, this is a team event with each race being a relay race. This meant the swimmers were relying on each other to get the required results. As has often been the case, we were a small but dedicated and friendly bunch and the team work paid off as we achieved a respectable second place behind Armthorpe claiming a victory over our regular opponents in the BML and Pocklington League, Knottingley and South Axeholme. The atmosphere was great with lots of cheering and it was pleasing to see many new competitors from our C and B squads getting their first taste of competition.
